Niall Cronin is a New York-based photographer working primarily in the fields of architecture, design, and construction. After graduating from The College of Wooster in 2016 with a B.A. in Urban Studies, Niall spent the summer at the Harvard Graduate School of Design building a portfolio in Urban Planning. His personal work investigates the formal, physical urban landscape within the social context of cities and their cultures.
Born in Indiana, Niall has worked nationwide alongside leading practitioners including Hedrich Blessing, Hall + Merrick, Paul Warchol, Chris Cooper, Tom Rossiter among others. His independent practice includes work for Tourists (hotel), JZJN Architects, BuildSite, Clay Cove Capital, The Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), Buch Construction, AT&T, Translation LLC, Gitman Bros. Clothing, Independence Chicago, among others.
His work has been on display at the Indianapolis Museum of Contemporary Art (iMOCA), Edington Gallery in Indianapolis, published by The Financial Times, Fast Company, and Time Out.
Niall’s first book, “What A Building Does: The Hoosier Modernisms of Evans Woollen” (a collaboration with writer Phil Cox) will be published by Indiana University Press in the Fall of 2025.
